When Jack’s in-laws demanded he remove his nephew, Leo, from the wedding ceremony because of the boy’s scars, he was torn. But they didn’t expect what his bride, Emily, would do next. With no choice, they walked out. Emily knelt to reassure Leo, who soon smiled again. She returned to the back of the chapel and restarted the ceremony.

At the reception, Leo laughed and played with the other kids, and Sophie hugged Emily tightly, whispering her thanks.
